  • Nurse Mentorship Program

  • A 9-month program runs annually from October to June; the goals of the program are:

    • Enhance leadership skills
    • Prepare the protégé to assume additional professional responsibilities
    • Promote a positive learning environment for career development
    • Improve retention and succession planning

    The protégés, as a group, meet monthly with their mentor, the CNO, to:

    • Share goals and expectations for the mentoring relationship
    • Be open and responsive to constructive feedback
    • Listen effectively to learn from the mentor's experiences and perspectives
    • Contribute to the nursing profession by serving as a mentor in the future
