Healthy Serving:
Teriyaki Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced

Marinade:

  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sake or sherry
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 inch ginger root, crushed
     or
    1/4 tsp. powdered ginger

Trim steak. Pound and score steak. Cut into 3x4 inch strips. Combine marinade ingredients. Marinade for at least one hour. Broil, turning once and basting occasionally until done, 3-4 minutes. May also be skewered and cooked on grill. Serves 4.
