Healthy Serving:
Beans & Red Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 cup canned cannelini beans, drained and rinsed thoroughly
- 1/2 cup canned tomatoes or plain tomato sauce
- Red pepper flakes
- Black pepper
- Dried basil
- Dried oregano
Mince the garlic. Heat oil on med/high. Add the garlic and cook until
golden (about 2-3 minutes). You can remove the garlic at this point, if
you do not want to eat it.
Add the spices and stir in.
Add drained beans to oil and heat through. You can cook until browned,
if you like.
Add the tomatoes or sauce and stir to combine. Heat through.
