Healthy Serving:
Grilled Pizza

Amount of ingredients per 8 oz:

  • Sauce: Per 8 oz use ¼ cup, spread over the dough.
  • Vegetables: 1-2 cups, chopped or sliced small, whatever your personal preference
  • Cheese: 2 oz or ½ cup shredded

Preheat grill to 400 to 450 degrees.

Directions:

Roll out fresh dough (either 4 or 8 oz.) with lightly floured rolling pin. Roll it as thin as you can without making holes in the dough. Gently pick up the rolled out dough and put on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Brush olive oil on one side of the dough.

Place oiled side of dough on the hot grill. When it starts to harden (about 1 minute) brush the top side of the dough with oil. Cook until the dough bubbles and you can tell that it is hardened (total time: 3-4 minutes). Use tongs to turn it over. Immediately spread the topping and then the cheese. Cover and cook 3-4 minutes or until cheese melts.
