Patricia Cristofaro, MD, is an attending physician of infectious diseases and medicine. She is also an assistant professor of medicine at Brown Medical School.
Cristofaro has been working with Steven Opal, MD, in the field of septic shock research, endotoxin, cytokines, molecular signaling pathways, and the pathophysiology of septic shock.
Previously, she worked with Bharat Ramratnam, MD, on engineering mucosal gene responses with siRNA. As a fellow, she was a subinvestigator in the Phase III MBI gel study under Leonard Mermel, MD.
Cristofaro has published over one dozen research and review articles and is a member of American Society of Microbiology.
