  • Pharmacy Residency Programs

    Rhode Island Hospital, in partnership with the College of Pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island, offers pharmacy residency programs in ambulatory care and oncology.RIH Residents 3

    Residents are directed in skills critical to patient care, communication and leadership within a multidisciplinary health care team.

    Purpose:

    Program graduates will be prepared to function independently as clinical pharmacy specialists and essential members of an interdisciplinary team in their respective areas of oncology or ambulatory care pharmacy practice. 

    Additionally, graduates will be prepared to function as adjunct faculty for pharmacy students on rotation and in didactic learning experiences at the College of Pharmacy. 

    Finally, the graduate will be prepared for board certification in their respective specialties of ambulatory care or oncology pharmacy practice.

    Requirements/Qualifications  

    • PharmD degree from an accredited school/college of pharmacy
    • Eligibility for Rhode Island licensure
    • Completion of PGY1 residency
    • Personal interview
