Halloween
Safety:
Driving Tips
Halloween is one of the most dangerous nights of the year
for driving. Studies show that kids have a more difficult
time judging drivers' reactions and tend to cross streets
the quickest way, which is not necessarily the safest. Kids'
smaller sizes also make it difficult for drivers to see them,
and it takes them longer to cross the street.
Avoid a Halloween mishap:
- Be aware that children may be walking in the street.
- Drive slowly and in the center of the lane, leaving plenty
of room between the car and the sidewalk.
- Be careful when passing parked carskids may cross
behind them
- Take care when exiting driveways or pulling out onto streets.
- Watch for kids in dark-colored clothing
