  • Cardiovascular Outcomes in Renal Atherosclerotic Disease (CORAL)

  • This is a government sponsored study to find out the best treatment modality for people who have hypertension caused by a narrowing of their renal arteries.

    Patients selected would be those with hypertension not controlled by at east two medications. The study will try to find out if either of the treatment options, renal artery stenting or antihypertensive medications is better than the other. Patients will be followed up for 3 years for development or cardiovascular and other diseases.
