Jason Machan, PhD, is the lead Vascular Disease Research Center biostatistician. He received his doctorate from Brown University and has been working as a biostatistician/research consultant since 1999. He has extensive training in experimental methodology and statistics in a variety of fields.
Machan has experience with clinical trials and basic, applied and longitudinal research projects. His areas of interest include theory specification, hypothesis development, study design and methodology, instrument selection, statistical design, sample size and power analysis, grantsmanship statistical analysis, data visualization, results write-up, discussion of valid inferences and conclusions.
