One-Stop Shopping for Basic Health Care Needs

Offering year-round health screenings, educational events, physician referrals and more, Lifespan Community Health Services covers all your basic health care needs.

Community Health Services assists 25,000 to 30,000 people every year and offers the following screenings:

  • Blood glucose
  • Blood pressure
  • Body fat analysis
  • Breast health
  • Cholesterol
  • Health risk assessment
  • Prostate cancer
  • Skin cancer

They also host workshops on diabetes and other chronic diseases, as well as events such as Avenues of Healing for anyone who has been affected by breast cancer.

Community Health provides additional workshops on parenting. They also run the local chapter of the national Safe Sitter program, a class that teaches young teens the skills they need to safely and effectively care for the children they babysit.

For adults, Community Health Services provides CPR classes and also offers learning kits for those who are interested in CPR but prefer learning at their own pace rather than in a classroom setting. Two kits, one for infant CPR and one for adult CPR, are available on the Community Health Services’ website. The Infant CPR Anytime is a 22-minute program that teaches the core skills of infant CPR and how to relieve choking. Friends and Family CPR Anytime is a kit that teaches CPR in half the time of a classroom course. Each kit comes with an instructional DVD and a mannequin.

For more information, please call Community Health Services at 401-431-5410 or visit us online.
