The Pediatric Rehabilitation Center is Moving

A new state-of-the-art, 18 by 10 foot Swimex pool, specifically designed to meet the needs of children, is available at the new Hasbro Children’s Hospital outpatient pediatric rehabilitation department.

The new 13,000 square foot space, located at 756 Allens Avenue, is equipped with a larger waiting area, private evaluation and treatment rooms, and a consultation room for family meetings and computer access.

Additional features will include a sensory integration program designed with suspended equipment and other necessary tools for successful treatment of sensory dysfunction. The program will be fully operational within the next several months.

Families will also have the option of accessible orthotic and prosthetic services for their children because Northeast Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc has leased a space adjacent to the department on the second floor of the building. Their proximity will allow for on-site, timely services as needed.

Ease of access coupled with an expansive space will allow for improved services to all children who require services, whether acute or chronic care.

In addition, the department will offer free parking with two lots located directly outside the building.
