Volunteering at The Miriam Hospital
People of all ages and background volunteer at The Miriam Hospital.
Our volunteers may be adults, junior volunteers (14 to 17 years
old) or interns (students completing education and career development
as part of their school's curriculum).
The volunteer department at The Miriam includes the information
desk, gift shop and The Miriam Hospital Women's Association.
Volunteer opportunities:
- Clerical support: office/data entry
- Central transport
- Family support liaison desks
- Greeter
- Maintenance
- Food and nutrition
- Patient Relations Volunteer
- Pharmacy
- Physical therapy
- Radiology
Requirements
Each volunteer at The Miriam Hospital must:
- Submit a complete application with references
- Provide an updated immunization record
- Submit to a tuberculosis test
- Complete an orientation to hospital policies and procedures,
including a patient confidentiality orientation
- Commit to a minimum time requirement
