Suggested Wording for Charitable Bequests

The following section provides suggested wording for your attorney to use when you make a charitable bequest:

For The Miriam Hospital:
"I give to The Miriam Hospital Foundation, a Rhode Island non-profit corporation located in Providence, RI, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the asset) to be used for its unrestricted charitable purposes (or otherwise describe the designation*).

For all Lifespan hospitals:
"I give to Lifespan Foundation, a Rhode Island non-profit corporation located in Providence, RI, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the asset) to be used for its unrestricted charitable purposes (or otherwise describe the designation*).

* We recommend the donor or the attorney discuss specific program designations with an officer of the foundation for accuracy, charitable appropriateness and feasibility.

Have you already provided for one of our hospitals?
If yes, then you are eligible for recognition in our planned giving Living Heritage Society.
