Chef TerranovaAfter learning about the health benefits of a plant-based diet and extra virgin olive oil, you can watch and learn the joys of cooking with the healthiest ingredients. Two of our state's most acclaimed culinary experts will show you how to prepare a delectable and healthy meal.

Mary Flynn, our keynote speaker, will be joined by Chef Frank Terranova, who is well known to Rhode Islanders as a renowned chef, teacher and television personality.

Chef Frank Terranova has been on the faculty of Johnson & Wales University (JWU) since 1990, teaching classes in advanced buffet catering and special function operations. He has been awarded thirteen American Culinary Federation medals and served as a team member for nine JWU wins and a medal from the French Government at the Grand Salon competitions sponsored by the Société Culinaire Philanthropique.

Prior to joining JWU, Terranova worked at the Twin Oaks Restaurant and as executive chef of the culinary program at Rhode Island School of Design. He also hosts a daily television cooking segment on NBC'S Channel 10.

You will have the opportunity to ask our two talented chefs questions and enjoy the meal demonstrated at our event luncheon.
