Project SLEEP
Is Your Child Getting Enough Sleep?
Many children in this country do not get enough sleep. This can lead to problems in school and to health problems, including obesity. The Miriam Hospital is conducting a research program for children 8-11 years of age who sleep nine hours or less each night. Parents and children will be asked to come in for three visits over two weeks to assess sleep and daytime behaviors such as hunger, eating and activity level. Parents will be provided with strategies to ensure that their children get a good night’s sleep.
