The Miriam Hospital
Continuing Medical Education
The Mission and Vision of Our Program
The mission of The Miriam Hospital is to provide the highest
quality of care to the people we serve in Rhode Island and Southern
New England. One mechanism to achieve this is through the commitment
to continuing medical education (CME). The Miriam Hospital recognizes
CME as an integral component of its mission and strives to create
an intellectual, nurturing and stimulating environment, which enhances
the physician's ability to provide high quality health care.
The Miriam Hospital is an organization with interests in issues
vital to health and science, continuing professional medical education
and the promotion of public awareness. The Miriam Hospital CME program
aspires to be a regional health care continuing medical education
resource.
We strive to:
- develop a CME program that serves as a model of excellence;
- comply with the essentials established by the ACCME in an exemplary
manner;
- provide uniformly excellent, commercially unbiased educational
activities;
- meet the educational needs of the entire medical staff.
Accreditation
The Miriam Hospital is accredited by the Rhode Island Medical
Society to provide intrastate continuing medical education for
physicians. |
