Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program

Selection Criteria and Application

Potential new trainees are identified and recommended by our foreign in-country directors and the leadership from our foreign collaborating institutions.

Candidates will be selected who have the best chance of becoming effective investigators in research related to HIV/AIDS.  Potential candidates will be selected based on previous research activity, the quality of previous experience and a commitment to continued involvement in HIV/AIDS research.  Potential trainees should have positions in their home institutions that will enable them to implement HIV/AIDS research activities after the completion of training.
