Nursing at The Miriam Hospital
Scholarships and Awards
Because of the generosity of our donors, the department of nursing
at The Miriam Hospital is able to offer several scholarships and
awards to its staff members. These include:
- The Jaffe Foundation Nursing Award for Excellence
Edwin Jaffe established this award after being a patient at The
Miriam Hospital. He was so impressed with the quality of the nursing
care that he funded the award to recognize nursing staff members
for their commitment to providing superior nursing care.
- The Hurvitz Nursing Scholarship
Arthur and Joyce Hurvitz, long-time supporters of The Miriam Hospital,
graciously donated a $10,000 annual scholarship fund to support
professional nursing education.
