The Hurvitz Nursing Scholarship
The Miriam Hospital department of nursing is the beneficiary of
a $10,000 annual scholarship fund, graciously donated by Arthur
and Joyce Hurvitz.
A long-time supporter of The Miriam Hospital, Mr. Hurvitz is a
life governor of the hospital and is currently a member of The Miriam's
Board of Trustees and the professional and academic affairs committee.
He is a former treasurer of The Miriam Hospital Foundation.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funds to support professional
nursing education. The funds are distributed to any Miriam Hospital
employee pursuing education to become a baccalaureate-prepared registered
nurse and to support an already licensed nurse, working in the nursing
department, who would like to pursue an advanced degree in nursing.
