Gyan Pareek, MD is an assistant professor of surgery (urology) at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He completed his urology training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and went on to complete a minimally invasive urology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

In 2006, he was recognized by the editorial board of the urology “Gold Journal” as having one of the best scientific papers written by a young investigator. He currently serves as a reviewer for all the major urologic journals and has served as a mentor to urologists at many international urologic conferences. He has also published numerous articles in the urologic literature.

Pareek is particularly passionate about robotics and laparoscopy and has concentrated his efforts into providing education and counseling to patients regarding the advantages of these minimally invasive approaches to their urologic surgery. In 2006, Pareek was proud to be a part of the team that performed the first robotic prostatectomy at the Miriam Hospital.
