Razib Khaund, MD

Razib Khaund, MD, is a graduate of the Lawrenceville School, Johns Hopkins University and the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his training in internal medicine at Brown University. During his final year of training, he was selected to be chief resident in internal medicine at Brown University.

In 1977, He moved to Columbus, Georgia to complete a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Hughston Clinic for Sports Medicine. He gained invaluable experience working at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as with collegiate and professional athletes.

Upon his return to Providence, Rhode Island, he joined the practice at University Orthopedics, Inc. as a specialist in primary care sports medicine. He is a board-certified internist, and also holds a certificate of added qualifications in Sports Medicine.

His academic interests include the role of anti-inflammatory medications in musculoskeletal medicine, as well as concussions in sports. He has received numerous awards recognizing his practice of sports medicine and his teaching abilities. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
