Jeanne McCaffery, PhD

Associate Professor

Jeanne McCaffery, PhD, is an associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and The Miriam Hospital. She received her PhD in clinical and health psychology at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her clinical internship at the Brown University Clinical Psychology Training Consortium in 2001. Her research interests are twin and family studies and molecular genetics in cardiovascular behavioral medicine. Recent projects include: examining environmental contributions of socioeconomic status and health behaviors to cardiovascular disease in twins, identifying specific variants in DNA that predict depression in heart disease patients, and examining gene x behavior interaction in obesity and diabetes.
