Yoga Classes at the Lifestyle Medicine Center

We offer yoga classes at the Lifestyle Medicine Center to help you get active and keep moving. Choose a class below to learn more. 

Hatha Yoga

This is an accessible yoga class – good for beginners, those returning to their mats after a long pause, and long-time practitioners alike. Each class will offer a well-rounded practice to build strength, release tension in the body, and cultivate peace in the mind and heart.

In these classes you will learn safe alignment in the poses, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques to help reduce stress and aid in relaxation.

Yoga improves overall well-being. Its specific benefits include:

  • Increased flexibility and stability
  • Improved balance and posture
  • Strength and endurance gains
  • Improved mental focus

Simply wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. You will need a yoga mat and it would be useful to have a pair of yoga blocks. A water bottle and small towel are nice to have as well. Bring an open mind and a willingness to try new things!

These classes are taught virtually by Mimi Budnick, 200 E-RYT,a certified Vinyasa yoga instructor. Mimi is certified in various types of yoga including trauma sensitive yoga, prenatal, and restorative yoga.

Chair Yoga

These classes are perfect for individuals who may have difficulty sitting, lying and/or rising from the floor. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support.

Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. You will need a yoga mat and a sturdy chair that does not have arms. It would also be useful to have a pair of yoga blocks.

These classes are taught virtually by Mimi Budnick, 200 E-RYT. She is certified in various types of yoga including trauma sensitive yoga, prenatal, and restorative yoga.
