Gateway Healthcare offers specialized Child and Adolescent Intensive Treatment Services to youths who are experiencing difficulties with substance use and behavioral health issues.
This co-occurring disorder (COD) program is designed to work with the youth and their family within the context of the adolescent’s social environment (school, community, home, etc). We provide an array of clinically-oriented, community-based services and supports geared to address the multitude and complex needs of adolescents and their families.
We provide evidence-based treatment, implementing motivational enhancement therapy/cognitive behavioral therapy (MET/CBT) for adolescent substance users and his/her family. The MET/CBT intervention seeks to extend the focus of treatment beyond the world of the adolescent by engaging the whole family system, a major factor in the adolescent’s life.
Our COD program provides intensive clinical services and supports that are geared toward the individual and family. The team is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals that include psychiatrists, licensed mental health counselors, social workers, substance use professionals, master level clinical staff, and casemanagers. Treatment is delivered primarily in a community, school, and/or family setting.
