Lifespan Physician Group will present "Mass Disaster, Vicarious Trauma, Daily Demands: How Providers Support Self and Others", the first annual Disaster Psychiatry Symposium, on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Highlights of this event include:

  • An overview of disaster types
  • Disaster reactions in adults and children
  • Spiritual crises
  • Brief presentations on how to anticipate reactions to impending disaster, providing support to others, strategies for building internal resilience, and self-care during and after a disaster response


This event is intended for physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, clergy, counselors and other health care professionals interested in disaster behavioral health care.

Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be provided.
