Lifespan Physician Group will present "Mass Disaster, Vicarious Trauma, Daily Demands: How Providers Support Self and Others", the first annual Disaster Psychiatry Symposium, on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Highlights of this event include:
An overview of disaster types
Disaster reactions in adults and children
Brief presentations on how to anticipate reactions to impending disaster, providing support to others, strategies for building internal resilience, and self-care during and after a disaster response
This event is intended for physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, clergy, counselors and other health care professionals interested in disaster behavioral health care.
Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be provided.
