FRIENDS WAY, Southern New England's only bereavement center dedicated to children, will hold the Diamonds in the Sky Gala on Friday, September 11, 2020.
About FRIENDS WAY
In 1999, FRIENDS WAY was established to provide grieving children and families with a special place where they could come to understand and learn to cope with their loss. It’s difficult to face death, especially when you’re a child or teen. Through bi-weekly support sessions, staffed with mental health professionals and extensively trained volunteers from the community, children and families work through their grief with comfort and support from peers struggling with similar feelings of loss.
FRIENDS WAY provides quality programs to children from 3 to 18 and their adult caregivers, at no charge to families. Fundraising activities and community support fund 100% of our programs. This year's evening of dinner and dancing will honor Daniel J. Wall, retired president of Bradley Hospital, with the Michael E. Wiggins, MD, MBA Leadership Award.
