
Pediatric Trauma Syposium: From Roadside to Bedside

Join Hasbro Children's Hospital in collaboration with Brown Surgical Associates and the Rhode Island Burn Center for this hybrid pediatric trauma symposium focused on providing health care professionals with strategies for managing the unique needs of pediatric burn patients.
Summary
This educational event will focus on the management of multiple children involved in a single motor vehicle accident.
Topics covered will include:
- Scene triage
- Emergency medicine management
- Operative logistics
- Mental Health Concerns
Objective
The objective goal is to provide a multi-disciplinary overview of how members of a pediatric health care team can collaborate on best practice management for an influx of patients at a given time.

In person attendance will be limited to 100 guests. Additional guests will be able to view the event on remote basis.

More Information
This event is geared toward EMS, nursing, physicians, and allied health professionals interested in the care of pediatric trauma patients.
Applications will be submitted for MA OEMS, nursing, physician and social worker educational credits.
Attendees must follow current masking guidance for visiting the hospital campus.
In case of increasing cases in May, there is a possibilty this event would need to go fully remote.
