Postponed - FRIENDS Way Diamonds in the Sky Gala

Mental Health and Behavioral Health

We are carefully monitoring news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States and locally. As a proactive step, FRIENDS WAY is postponing the upcoming Diamonds in the Sky Gala that had been scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2020. The new date will be Friday, September 11, 2020. Please call 401-667-6505 with any questions.

FRIENDS WAY, Southern New England's only bereavement center dedicated to children, will hold the Diamonds in the Sky Gala on Friday, September 11.

In 1999, FRIENDS WAY was established to provide grieving children and families with a special place where they could come to understand and learn to cope with their loss.  It’s difficult to face death, especially when you’re a child or teen. Through bi-weekly support sessions, staffed with mental health professionals and extensively trained volunteers from the community, children and families work through their grief with comfort and support from peers struggling with similar feelings of loss.

FRIENDS WAY provides quality programs to children from 3 to 18 and their adult caregivers, at no charge to families. Fundraising activities and community support fund 100% of our programs. This year's evening of dinner and dancing will honor Daniel J. Wall, retired president of Bradley Hospital, with the Michael E. Wiggins, MD, MBA Leadership Award.
