Rose B. David Memorial Lecture


The Lifespan Cancer Institute and the family of former patient Rose B. David will sponsor "Advances in Immunotherapy to Treat Cancer", a lecture presented by Howard Safran, MD, chief of hematology/oncology at the Lifespan Cancer Institute, and medical director for the Brown University Oncology Group.

Participants will gain an understanding of how immune checkpoint inhibitors work, review important results of immunotherapy to treat cancer, discuss FDA-approved indicators of immunotherapy, describe clinical trials available in Rhode Island with cancer immunotherapy, and more. A light lunch will be served.

This free event is intended for physicians, nurses, and other interested health care professionals.

Continuing medical education credits will be available. Rhode Island Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
