Social Media: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 12:00p.m. - 1:00p.m.

Lifespan Community Health Institute will present Social Media: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, an exploration of the positives (the good), the cautionary tales (the bad), and the dangers (the ugly) of spending time on social media.

According to recent research, the average teen (ages 13 to 18) spends about nine hours on social media a day while tweens (ages 8 to 12) spend about six hours a day. Distance learning has played a significant role in the increase of these numbers. Frances DaLomba, MSW, LCSW, team leader for Bradley Hospital, will lead an event exploring this research.
