Newport Hospital Earns Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award
Patient experience rating at Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center recognized
For the fourth consecutive year, Newport Hospital has been honored with the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for its inpatient rehabilitation program.
The hospital achieved the distinction by ranking in the top five percent for patient experience at its Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center. The award is given annually based on one year of data.
“I’m a witness every day to the truly excellent care we deliver, and to the dedication and compassion of our staff,” said Crista F. Durand, president of Newport Hospital. “I couldn’t be more proud of the expert care given to patients undergoing rehabilitation at Newport Hospital. Our Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center has been cited as a model for other programs nationwide.
“The entire team provides the most skilled, compassionate, personalized care available, and it shows on every level – in the good outcomes for our patients, and the tremendously positive feedback from patients and families.”
Award winners were recognized Nov. 1 during Press Ganey's National Client Conference in Orlando, Florida.
“All of us at Press Ganey are continuously inspired by our clients’ achievements, and we are proud to partner with them to improve the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of the company, which provides patient experience measurement, performance analytics and strategic advisory solutions for health care organizations.
