Less than four weeks after winning his second Super Bowl ring, New England Patriots star kicker Stephen Gostkowski found himself in the spotlight once again, but this time he wasn’t on the field. On Friday, March 3, Gostkowski made a special visit to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, putting smiles on the faces of patients as he visited them room to room. He also celebrated the results of his sixth annual “Kick 4 Kids” Challenge with hospital leadership.

For his 2016 challenge, Stephen pledged a personal $10,000 gift to match donations made to Hasbro Children’s Hospital through “Kick 4 Kids,” helping the campaign generate a total of $65,000. The effort was also generously supported by sponsor Seasons Corner Market, which collected donations from customers throughout the football season. Since 2010, “Kick 4 Kids” has raised nearly $200,000 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

During the hour and a half Stephen spent visiting with patients and their families, the two-time Lombardi Trophy winner made more than a few lifelong fans. He signed autographs, posed for pictures, and, for one young patient, answered the day’s most pressing question, “What’s it like to play with Tom Brady?” And, in case you’re wondering his response: He said it’s everything you think it is, only better.

Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the tens of thousands of patients and families that depend on us for care extend our thanks and gratitude to Stephen, not only for his continued support, but for making memories that today’s children won’t soon forget.
