Quantitative Sciences Program
The quantitative sciences program (QSP) provides training in the form of formal workshops, seminars and individual mentoring in the areas of quantitative methodology, including research and experimental design, survey and sampling methods, basic and advanced multivariate data analysis.
The QSP actively collaborates with ongoing and proposed research at Brown University and across the nation, and conducts independent and methodologically focused research projects. The QSP is supported through participation on research projects and by the Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute and departments of psychiatry and human behavior, and neurology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Rich Jones, ScD – Director
Rich Jones, ScD is an epidemiologist and methodologist who trained in psychiatric epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. His research interests center around mental health and aging, with a specific focus on the epidemiology of cognitive aging, cognitive reserve and environmental influences on cognitive function.
The QSP has offices at Rhode Island Hospital and Butler Hospital.
