Aristides I. Cruz Jr., MD, MBA, is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon whose areas of interest include traumatic injuries, fracture care, treatment of sports-related conditions, and general pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Cruz is an associate professor of orthopaedics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Cruz received his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force as an orthopedic surgeon and later completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Cruz is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a specialty fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of America, and a candidate member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Association of North America. He is board-certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
