Caitlin Montcrieff, MSN, RN, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at Hasbro Children’s Hospital who specializes in hematology. Montcrieff is associate director of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (HTC) of Rhode Island Hospital and manager of pediatric hematology/oncology advanced practice providers. Previously, she was director of the HTC.
Before coming to the Tomorrow Fund Clinic in 2012, Montcrieff worked on the adult oncology/bone marrow transplant unit at Massachusetts General Hospital as well as Just Kids RI Sick Care pediatric urgent care.
Montcrieff is an active provider in the bleeding disorders community. Her specialties and interests include hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, immune thrombocytopenia, Evans Syndrome & ALPS, rare bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, and abnormal uterine bleeding.
Montcrieff has served the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society in leadership roles at the regional and national levels. Montcrieff has a number of abstracts on immune thrombocytopenia, hemophilia, and von Willebrand disease, and has presented at regional, national, and international conferences. Her professional society memberships include the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society, the Foundation for Women and Girls with Blood Disorders, and the Nurse Practitioners Alliance of Rhode Island.
