Cathy E. Duquette, PhD, MBA, RN, is executive vice president for quality and safety, and chief nursing executive for Lifespan Corporation. Her more than 30 years in healthcare includes roles as senior vice president and chief quality officer of Rhode Island Hospital, vice president of nursing and patient care services and chief nursing officer at Newport Hospital, senior vice president at the Hospital Association of Rhode Island, and staff roles in hospital quality improvement and clinical nursing in the critical care setting.
Dr. Duquette received her bachelor and master of science degrees in nursing from the University of Rhode Island, a PhD in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, and her MBA in healthcare administration from Western Governors University.
Dr. Duquette is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality through the National Association for Healthcare Quality where she has also achieved fellowship status. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt; and is board certified as a Nursing Executive, Advanced through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
