Gino A. Paolucci, DNP, ACNP-BC, ANVP-BC, is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner at Rhode Island Hospital’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, manager of neurovascular advanced practice providers at Rhode Island Hospital, and director of the Helen Buchanan Neuroscience APP Fellowship. He is also a teaching associate at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Paolucci earned his master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions followed by a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Chamberland University.

He is trained in emergency medicine, focusing on critical care and clinical management of stroke patients. Currently, he is manager of advanced practice providers for stroke and interventional neuroradiology at the Rhode Island Hospital Comprehensive Stroke Center. He is actively involved in stroke specific education of EMS professionals and advanced practice providers and is interested the improvement of stroke systems of care. His doctoral work focused on healthcare leadership and in particular, operational efficiency in stroke.

Additionally, he holds a board subspecialty certification as an Advanced Neurovascular Provider and certifications in Fundamental Critical Care Support and Emergency Neurologic Life Support. He is a member of the Rhode Island Stroke Task Force, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, and the American College of Nurse Practitioners.
