Mice Chen joined Coastal Medical in 2011 and is responsible for building and maintaining Coastal’s information technology infrastructure and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to support clinical operations, improve business efficiency and enhance the capability of data analytics. He also oversees EMR training and data analytics and ensures the delivery of clinical quality reports which is the foundation for Coastal to provide high-quality and low-cost care.
Chen is very passionate about technology. His enthusiasm, effort, and technical expertise in leveraging technology solutions has enabled numerous efficient workflows and improved patient experience companywide. He has spearheaded many pivotal high-tech systems at Coastal, such as e-Learning, digital forms, the call center, data analytics, and EMR feature upgrades and implementation.
Prior to joining Coastal, Chen was the director of information technology at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in Quincy, MA and Newport Collaborative Architects in Newport, RI. Chen has several degrees which include master’s in business administration, master’s in information systems from Bryant University, bachelor’s in hospitality management from Johnson and Wales University and bachelor’s in physics - system automation from Shenzhen University in China.
He has also received many Microsoft certifications, including MCSE, MCDBA, and MCSA.
