Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Hasbro Children’s

Catherine Sullivan is the division chief of pediatric hospital medicine at Hasbro Children’s.

Dr. Sullivan has been a pediatric hospitalist for more than 20 years and was in the inaugural year of board certification for pediatric hospital medicine in 2019. She attended Brown University for both her undergraduate degree and for medical school. She did her internship year in pediatrics at Georgetown University, and then completed her residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition, she was a John Heinz Scholar in pediatric nutrition in the Division of GI and Nutrition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. 

Prior to joining Hasbro Children’s, Dr. Sullivan was the director of med/psych services at Connecticut Children’s in Hartford and the founding medical director of a new med/psych unit.  She has presented at numerous national conferences and workshops in her areas of interest and has collaborated on medical research published in academic journals and book chapters.

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
