Catherine D'Avanzato, PhD

Assistant Director, Rhode Island Hospital Adult Partial Hospitalization Program

Catherine D’Avanzato, PhD is a clinical psychologist and the assistant director of the Rhode Island Hospital Adult Partial Hospitalization Program. She is assistant professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. D’Avanzato received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Miami and completed her residency in clinical psychology, as well as a clinical research fellowship, at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. D’Avanzato is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, and the Anxiety Disorders Association of America. She is the author of scientific publications on the etiology, assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder and related mood and anxiety disorders.
