Narendra Sharma Kala, MBBS, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and practicing vascular neurologist at Rhode Island Hospital’s Comprehensive Stroke Center. He specializes in stroke, hemorrhage, and other cerebrovascular diseases, with a dedicated interest in clinical education of trainees. Dr. Kala is also an assistant professor of neurology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Kala earned his medical degree at Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences in Vizianagaram, India, and served his neurology residency, including a year as chief resident, in the neuroscience institute at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kala completed his fellowship in vascular neurology at Rhode Island Hospital/The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association. He volunteers with the Ken Foundation Society in Visakhapatnam, India.
