Peter K. Kriz, MD

Peter Kriz, MD, is an orthopedist specializing in sports medicine. His areas of interest include musculoskeletal ultrasound, dance medicine, and sports concussion management. He is also an assistant professor (clinical) in the division of sports medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Kriz received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed a pediatric and chief residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Children’s Hospital Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. His research interests include injury prevention in youth sports and sport-related concussion.

He currently has team physician responsibilities for student-athletes at Brown University and several area high schools, and provides concussion management for the Providence Bruins professional hockey team. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, and has lectured at national meetings on the topic of youth sports injuries.
