Valerie Vorderstrasse, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist in The Verrecchia Clinic for Children with Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD). She earned her doctoral degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and neurodevelopmental disorders at the University of Missouri’s Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
Dr. Vorderstrasse has extensive experience in autism assessment, and spent two years in Okinawa, Japan, at an international university conducting psychological assessments of children with both autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Her interests center around the assessment of children, adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum, and providing treatments to support individuals with high-functioning autism and anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She also assists these patients with transition planning and social skill development.
