Q Exactive Plus Mass spectrometer

Q Exactive Plus Mass spectrometer

The Core utilizes the new Q Exactive LC-MS/MS (Thermo Fisher) for complete proteome characterization. It provides users with improved fidelity of protein characterization from a complex sample resulting in increased proteome coverage, increased accuracy for post-translational modification (PTM) identifications such as phosphorylation, acetylation and oxidation, and provides new analytical capabilities for performing selected ion monitoring (SIM), selected reaction monitoring (SRM) and small molecule analyses which were not supported before. The Q Exactive includes a nano-ESI source coupled to a Dionex Ultimate3000 nano-LC system with Orbitrap detection. The fast scan rate and efficient data acquisition improves throughput and sample analysis time, providing the end user with deeper sequencing of their samples.

TSQ Quantiva

TSQ Quantiva

TSQ Quantiva is a Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer which allows identification and absolute quantitation of biomarkers including small molecules, lipids, and target proteins/peptides with their known post-translational modifications from any biological samples. This instrument is capable of detection and quantification >100 different biomarkers and/or target proteins /sample by a 30 min single MS spec analysis. Mass spectrometry based methods using this instrument offers many advantages compared with other bioanalytical methods such as western blot and ELISA.

GloMax Discover

GloMax® Discover

GloMax® Discover: is a ready-to-use multimode detection instrument offers flexible use of filters.

It includes: high-performance, luminescence, fluorescence, UV-Visible absorbance, BRET and FRET, two-color filtered luminescence and kinetic measurement capabilities.

Countess™ II Automated Cell Counter

Countess II Automated Cell Counter

Countess™ II Automated Cell Counter is a benchtop assay platform equipped with state-of-the-art optics, full autofocus, and image analysis software for rapid assessment of cells in suspension.

  • Accurate —use the Countess II Automated Cell Counter to eliminate the subjectivity of manual cell counting and user-to-user variability.
  • Fast —the Countess II Automated Cell Counter provides a total cell count, reports viability, and measures average cell size in as little as 10 seconds.
Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer

Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer

A microfluidics-based platform for sizing, quantification and quality control of DNA, RNA, proteins and cells.

It was the first commercially available instrument to use microfluidics technology for the analysis of biological samples. It offers many advantages over conventional techniques, such as improved data precision and reproducibility.

 Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 2000

Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 2000

The only micro-volume spectrophotometer with a patented sample retention technology that allows for sample volumes as small as 0.5 µL.

It can be used to measure DNA, RNA (A260), and protein (A280) concentrations, as well as sample purity (A260/A280 ratio) within a large concentration range (2 ng/µL-15,000 ng/µL dsDNA) without the need for dilutions.

Fluidigm Helios

Fluidigm Helios

The Fluidigm Helios CyTOF (cytometry by time of flight) system is a plasma mass spectrometer used to characterize surface or intracellular proteins in a labeled cell suspension. Isotopically pure metal ions are conjugated to antibodies, which are used for immunostaining and characterization of cell populations by time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The discrete mass ranges of these isotopes circumvents the issue of spectral overlap and compensation of fluorochrome spectra and allows simultaneous detection of many more metal-tagged antibodies than in traditional flow cytometry.
