Lifespan Laboratories

Laboratory Experts and Pathologists

Lifespan offers a full range of clinical and anatomic pathology testing to physicians, whether or not they belong to the Lifespan hospital network. In 2012, we reported more than nine million test results in more than 20 specialties and subspecialties, many of which are unique to the region.

Lifespan Laboratories provides physicians access not only to data, but also to the advice of experts recognized as leaders in their fields. As one of the most comprehensive, efficient and advanced pathology centers and clinical laboratories in New England, Lifespan Laboratories provides test results to physicians throughout Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts and beyond.

The staff of clinical laboratory scientists and pathologists are central to Lifespan's commitment to continuous quality improvement. Our high standards and ongoing pursuit of excellence are evident in the continued accreditation from the College of American Pathologists and the AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks). Laboratory experts are available 24/7 and look forward to helping you provide the best possible care to your patients.

The best way to reach these experts for consultation is through the customer service center (401-793-4242; Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or through the page operator (after hours and holidays: 401-444-5108).
