Meds to Beds Program
Prescription Bedside Delivery Service
Designed with our patients’ health in mind, the Meds to Beds program is Lifespan Pharmacy’s bedside prescription delivery service provided to patients at Rhode Island, The Miriam and Newport hospitals. The program allows patients to fill their necessary prescriptions and have them either delivered to their room or picked up at the Lifespan pharmacy on-site, eliminating the need for a stop on the way home.
The delivery service, which is provided at no extra cost, ensures that medication is paid for and in hand when patients leave the hospital. By utilizing this service, if prescription costs are a concern, patients have the opportunity to speak with their care team before discharge. Additionally, any other potential issues with a prescription including missing information and insurance coverage are all resolved prior to discharge.
Participating Lifespan Pharmacies are located in the Davol Building near the Hasbro Children’s Hospital (upper lobby at Rhode Island Hospital), the main lobby at The Miriam Hospital, and the main lobby at Newport Hospital.
