Team Hasbro - Global Day of Joy

Hasbro, Inc.’s Timeless Legacy Of Giving

Providing Joy (and Play-Doh!) During Times of Uncertainty

Since Hasbro Children’s Hospital opened 30 years ago, the generosity and spirit of Hasbro, Inc. has remained ever-present down every corridor of the hospital. From the iconic My Little Pony, Mr. Potato Head, Peppa Pig and Transformers that line the front windows, to the generous donations of toys and games enjoyed by patients of all ages, Hasbro’s mission to entertain through the “wonder of storytelling and exhilaration of play” is alive and well at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The Lawsons

Meet Tom and Cathy Lawson

They may not have been born here, but for Tom and Cathy Lawson, Rhode Island is home. Originally from the Midwest, Tom’s career has brought the couple all over the country, and finally here to the Ocean State about 20 years ago.

At the beginning of 2022, Tom retired as CEO of FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, and Cathy is a retired speech and language pathologist for children with special needs. The two have been together for 40 years, and as Cathy points out with a knowing smile, “Tom may be the CEO at work but I’m the CEO of our philanthropy!”

Bruno

Meet Bruno Ramieri

"How can I help?”

That’s the question Bruno Ramieri asked Hasbro Children’s Hospital in 2020 as he tried to cope with immense grief.

At the time, Bruno was about to lose his wife of 60 years, Pauline, due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Making matters worse, he couldn’t visit her in the nursing home because of COVID-19 restrictions.
