Guidelines for Abstract Submissions and Awards Eligibility

The primary goal of research presentations is to showcase high-quality scientific work while ensuring appropriate mentorship and authorship recognition. Faculty and trainees (postdoctoral research fellows, residents) should be prioritized as presenters.

If research staff, including research assistants (RAs), submit abstracts, certain conditions must be met:

  1. Mentorship Requirement – The principal investigator (PI) or senior author must provide significant oversight, ensuring the submission, and poster meet scientific standards.
  2. Authorship Consideration – RAs may submit research if they are first authors, and their faculty mentor strongly endorses the work.
  3. Awards Eligibility – All persons submitting an abstract are eligible for awards.

Deadline and Notifications

The deadline for abstract submissions is Monday, August 4, 2025.

Authors will be notified in early September on their abstract status. Invited authors will be provided with details and deadlines for final electronic poster submission. Invited oral presenters will be provided with a deadline for presentations.
