As of April 1, 2024, Coastal Medical is proud to welcome aboard Women's Medicine Collaborative (WMC) Primary Care and the Obesity Medicine Program.
WMC Primary Care brings a long-standing and respected history of expertise in women's health care to Coastal.
Both part of Lifespan, these established primary care entities will work together to enhance the patient healthcare experience. "Women's Medicine Collaborative has been a locally and regionally renowned source of outstanding care for women by women," said Ed McGookin, President of Coastal Medical. "I look forward to the opportunities we have to share with and learn from one another."
This collaboration will be a seamless experience for WMC Primary Care patients, who will retain their current location, clinician, care team, appointments, and patient portal. In the future, an expanded range of programs and services will become available.
The Obesity Medicine Program, formerly part of Lifespan's Lifestyle Medicine, is also joining Coastal Medical as of April 1. The program uses research-backed methods to help patients manage their obesity.
