The Wave Clinic Structure

The adolescents at the Wave Clinic receive evidence-based treatments including motivational enhancement therapy and cognitive behavioral therapies tailored to meet the needs of each youth and his or her family.

The Wave Clinic treatment may encompass individual therapy, family therapy, and/or group therapy for teens, as well as a skills group for the parent(s) or caregiver. Treatment is provided by our multidisciplinary team, which may include a psychologist, a licensed mental health counselor, and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Substance use monitoring is part of treatment.

Because the Wave Clinic is an outpatient program, teens can continue their schooling and practice their newly acquired skills in their daily lives.

The length of the program varies depending on the treatment goals of the adolescent and his or her family.
